IN SHORT, THIS VENDOR WAS A nice, unique setting in a museum.
TO ELABORATE We were thrilled with our choice. Our preference was to stay in the South Shore, but we didn't find any options we liked so we looked at the North Shore, which we knew little about. We (actually my wife, not me) saw a few places before seeing the Peabody Essex. Once she saw it, it was a done deal. The East India Marine Hall was a unique room that easily fit 135 people. While it was slightly more expensive than other options, we found the incremental spend to be worth it given the venue. Salem ended up being a great town to have a wedding. All of our guests were within walking distance and there were plenty of activities to do around town. The one downside was that we found our food (catered by the local Hawthorne Hotel) to be average. With that being said, the wedding was five years ago, but we would still check on the catering options.
