4 Favorite Wedding Workouts

Point blank, workouts are my sanity pills, and they were never more effective at keeping my head on straight than in the eight weeks leading up to my wedding. These four fitness havens were and remain my favorite places to sweat it out in Boston.

Barry's BootcampMy go-to because it is literally three times as hard as what I would do on my own at the gym. Plus the group class has a vibe -- dim lights, great music, motivating teachers. The owners and teachers make a point to get to know you which makes showing up and doing your best a whole lot easier. It is far cheaper than a personal trainer and just as effective. What You DoRun at varying speeds and inclines for unpredictable intervals and lift weights. You can choose classes based on Full Body, Butt & Legs, Arms & Abs, Arms & Back and Abs.

Recycle Spinning is my favorite workout when I don't want to feel like I'm working out. Recycle's 45-minute classes fly by because they feel like a dance party. As a bonus, I would leave with songs I wanted to put on my next Spotify playlist. The 4-6 minute weight lifting is super hard... and extra motivating if you're wearing a strapless dresses. WHAT YOU DOSpin your butt off with variations in speed and incline as well as lift 2-4 pound weights for your biceps, triceps, shoulders and back.

Baptiste YogaBy far my favorite yoga spot in Boston. It's where I could quiet my mind, breathe out wedding stress and leave feeling like a much better version of me. WHAT YOU DO Breathe deeply, twist, stretch, back bend in a 90-minute h-o-t class

Everybody Fights Boxing If every super model on earth is boxing, there must be something to it. Everybody Fights has an industrial cool design. The Bags + Body class was my favorite arm workout because I felt like I was using muscles that I didn't know existed. WHAT YOU DOThere are tons of classes to choose from but in Bags + Beats, you will be punching out your stress on your own individual bag to the beat of the music for 12 rounds; every few minutes you do two minutes of stationary strength training or cardio exercises. The room is dark so if you mess up no one is looking.
