Bride/Babe: Jaclyn Powers

I've been to the coast of Rhode Island a handful of times, but never to a wedding along it, so I'm excited to share details on Jaclyn's gorgeous September wedding at The Ocean House. This resort is an icon on the New England waterfront and knows how to nail a wedding. As does this bride -- she allowed everything from her venue to her bridal style to be the definition of beach chic.

Bridal style Classic with a beachy natural element. The dress was very classic and chic, however with my hair down and wavy and very minimal accessories as well as very natural, light make up it made it feel much more relaxed.

Dress by Carolina Herrera. I bought it at L'Elite on Newbury street in Boston and I was very happy with them! The seamstress there helped me alter and redesign certain aspects of the dress and was very talented and knowledgeable. She helped to execute my vision while also making the dress comfortable and functional.

Shoes by Jimmy Choo. Since I am only 5'2 and my husband is 6'2 I really wanted high shoes and I found simple nude heels with a platform sole and heel, which made them much more comfortable. However I would definitely recommend wearing them a few times before the big day! Although I am very used to wearing high heels being so short, I should have broken them in a little more. And put no slip pads on the bottoms of the sole!

Accessories by I wore diamond studs and a tennis bracelet that were both gifted to me from my dad and stepmom on my wedding day.

Health Secrets I wish I could say that I had some great health secrets to share, but that is much more my twin sisters forte so I follow her advice when it comes to that! She went for a run to get a nice flushed look and sat with a face mask on the morning of MY wedding haha.

Beauty secrets Definitely having a good aesthetician, hair stylist , and personal trainer helped prepare me Regular facials, keratin treatments, and eating healthy and staying active all helped me to feel my best! Thankfully it was September and I still had my summer tan! Everyone looks better with a tan!

Hair by My long time hair stylist Jacqui Bento from the Salon on Haven. I have been seeing her since I was 14 so it was so nice having her be a part of my special day! I was very happy with how it came out! It was exactly what I had envisioned.

Makeup by Katie from Beauty Muse. My twin sister who is much more knowledgeable about makeup came with me to my trial and helped to describe exactly what I wanted. I wanted my skin to be Dewey and very natural, with bright eyes and a peachy pink lip. She achieved it!

Wedding Venue The Ocean House is absolutely stunning and we were so fortunate to have a gorgeous day that highlighted the beautiful grounds and ocean views. We really wanted our guests to enjoy everything the venue offered from walking down to the beach, to playing croquet on the lawn. The ease of walking across the street to the Chapel and not having to have my guests take a bus to the reception was also important to us. I would definitely recommend it to other brides looking for a beach destination and outdoor wedding, it doesn't get much prettier!

Greatest moment of the night The greatest moments were definitely being on the dance floor with my husband and all of our family and friends! I had always envisioned the day to be filled with lots of laughter and dancing and it was just that. Watching my guests enjoy the band and seeing the dance floor packed all night made me so happy!

Vendors you loved We would recommend all of our vendors to be completely honest! Our wedding coordinators, True Event , were fabulous to work with and made the whole experience fun and easy! Stone Blossom designed the most beautiful floral arrangements , and Ryan Design provided us with the most beautiful chandeliers. Rebecca Arthur's, our photographer , gave us the most precious gift, gorgeous photos to remember the day by! As did SH Videography. Those are memories we will cherish forever and we are so thankful to them for their wonderful work!

Advice for brides to be Enjoy every second because it goes by in the blink of an eye! Try your best to be present during the day and take time to take a step back with your husband and take it all in. This day is about you and your husband so remember that.
