Accessories byI wore a beautiful necklace with a pearl surrounded by diamonds that my mother gifted to me when I turned 21. As my "something borrowed" I wore her diamond studs. After our first dance and cocktails, I switched things up by removing my veil and put on a jeweled bridal sash and a silk flower in my hair from Gabriella New York.
Health secret It’s important to consider one’s mental health when going through wedding planning. It’s easy to get stressed out and lose yourself in the magnitude of the engagement period and all that is required to plan the big event. I am very fortunate to have a mother and mother-in-law who are incredibly sophisticated and excellent party planners so I really let them take the reigns on things. For me, my health secret was staying true to myself so that I could enjoy the process. This meant focusing on my job as teacher, working out regularly, eating well, and enjoying life's everyday moments. I think it’s easy for brides to get wrapped up in everything that’s happening and loose sight of the real reason for getting married in the first place – LOVE.
Beauty secretFor me, healthy eating was a big part of my life whether I was getting married or not! Like all brides, I wanted to ensure that I would have clear skin during my wedding festivities. I know from a lot of trial and error over the years that dairy can affect my skin and cause breakouts, so I did my best to eliminate that from my diet. A whole-food, organic, veggie loaded diet really does create an inside-out glow.

Bridal Style Soft, elegant, and as hilarious as it sounds, I was adamant that I was comfortable. Which I was, my dress felt like a second skin!
Greatest moment of the night After the ceremony my husband and I snuck away for some private photos off a scenic overlook of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We rode back down the mountain to the country club in an original white Excalibur convertible. I remember my veil was blowing everywhere and the sun was shining through the clouds. It was just us and the beauty of the mountains...one of the most surreal moments of my life. I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.
